How a score gets made
Four inputs, one published formula, one confidence tier. Every figure on this site traces back to a factor row and a methodology version.
Collect
Material composition, mass, packaging spec, origin and transport mode are captured per SKU from the artisan partner.
Apply factors
Each input is multiplied by a versioned emission factor with a cited source. Factors are frozen per methodology release.
Normalise
Net impact is compared to a category baseline to produce a 0–100 score that is comparable within a category.
Tier the confidence
Verified, supplier-declared or estimated. The tier travels with the score everywhere it is displayed.
